Have you ever thought of yourself as “holy”? Do you know that the word Holiness is related to the word whole-ness. We show holiness when we live lives of integrity and truth, that is, wholesome and integrated lives in which we are close to others while being close to God. I often tell people with problems in their lives that they need to re-balance their “life wheel”. With God in the centre our life wheel rotates harmoniously, but with ourselves in the centre, we will feel the lack of centrality or feel the imbalance. |

PROLIFE SUNDAYA Sunday school teacher was discussing the Ten Commandments with her five and six year olds. After explaining the commandment to "Honour thy father and thy mother," she asked, "Is there a commandment that teaches us how to treat our brothers and sisters?” Without missing a beat, one little boy answered, "Thou shall not kill." This is the message for “Respect for Life Sunday.”March 6, 1857, was a very dark day in American history. By a 7-2 vote, the United States Supreme Court declared that Afro-Americans were not legal persons. Rather, they were property. They could be used, sold, beaten, and even killed. Slavery was upheld. |

I mentioned the week before of my appreciation for everyone who participated and helped with the Turning of the First Sod (the “ground breaking” ceremony) and I want to thank in a special way those who helped to make First Holy Communion day equally celebratory.
